i've used them before Bex & they're good value for money, germination rate was about the same as other brands, they come in plain packets without any pretty pictures or instructions so you have to look those up. P&P is cheap and they came quickly. So yes I'd say they're OK.
The love of gardening is a seed once sown never dies ...
I think most seed companies in this country are ok, the ones to watch are the foreign one's. I think the one most people were having trouble with were Rogues in America.
Thanks Hans Mum! Oh Dear here I go again then. I can feel a seed order coming on.
Noooooo, Bex....Don't do it....step away from the computer, put the seed catalogue down, go and make a cup of something warm.....Now deep breaths, more deep breaths.
Alan is a really great guy and he has a great potato supplier nudge nudge wink wink. His seeds at 50p are great value for money and are the same as other big companies seeds that cost you lots more because of the name on the packet. If you want super veg then I always buy from Medwyn Williams. Germination rates are superb and he has the superb sweet candle carrots.
I like his seeds (got some this spring, hope to plant the squash this coming year), loved his book and admire his competence - what a shame his carriage prices for tatties are so exorbitant for Aberdeenshire, I simply can't afford tatties from him !
There's no point reading history if you don't use the lessons it teaches.
