    You lot are fantastic, thankyou!
I am still a bit confused, sorry. As some of the things are over wintering and some are summer sown, it doesn't quite seem to follw, or am I being really dim and thinking it's all more complicated than it really is?
Now to go and plant random onion sets allover my gaden and to hell with the consequences, or to make spreadsheets?
hmmmmmmm, I do have to admit I quite like spreadsheets *cringes*, but mild autumn evening gardening wins everytime!
    Slap dash mess it is
There are no gardening mistakes, only experiments.

To complicate issues further there are two types of crop rotation..........Annual crop rotation whereby you grow the same crop on the same land in an annual cycle..............and true crop rotation which involves rotating crops as they mature ie mid season or whatever. I never could get a handle on annual crop rotation because it just doesn't seem right foillowing like with like in a single year. Even though mine could be classed as slapdash, I never if possible follow like with like!

I've had trouble getting my head around the transition between seasons and when to rotate. Frankly I think that's where the spreadsheets come in useful, you can plan what to have in over winter to ensure that you get the rotation in at the right time. Sadly I can't really advise on this as I'm coming up to my first winter of gardening and plan on learning from my mistakes this time!
