No tomatoes but I picked a few broad and runner beans today (along with some primroses!)

I've just been out to the garden and I've got chilli plants flowering. Surely this isn't right for November?

My Nigel's Outdoor chillies are still flowering and I picked a couple of ripe chillies off them today. Considered digging one of them up to put it a pot inside over winter but couldn't be bothered and will just sow new seeds next spring. By they way, they're a great variety, even outdoors. Got from Real Seeds and may try a couple inside also next year to see if they're even better there.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Mine toms have finished so I've had to buy some this weekend, and I was very picky in the green grocers.

My tamara toms are still going OK against a south facing wall. Picked one this am for packed lunch & there are a handfull more ripening that I'll probably eat this week too. Pulled up the gardeners delight on the allotment last week though as they were starting to rot.

Just got the last of my tomatoes, spanish beans and runners. The rest on the plot is overwintering stuff such as onions, leeks, parsnips, carrots in the greenhouse, swiss chard, broad beans. In fact, I am quite proud of myself this year.
