I'm turning mine tomorrow weather permitting, it's getting a bit solid so I want to jig it about a bit, to get some air in, I'm hoping to grow a competition marrow in it next year.

Do you mean urine? If so then no, thats all I know of. Have seen adds for packets of powder that are supposed to do the job, but havent tried them so I dont know if they work or not.
Put some worms in from the garden once. Not sure how much good they did tho'.

Greasyfire -have a look at BigMally's link underneath all his posts for a compost bin building project and no, your Christmas dinner is intended for
1) your tummy
2) the freezer or
3)the dog's tummy!
If you put it in the compost it will go into a rat's tummy and we don't want that do we? !!Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?Comment

Im talking about the bones and turkey skin and the leftover brussel sprouts and the half eaten potaoes. Im not talking about a whole dinner just the scraps and all of that.Dont judge a plant by it's pot.Comment

Left over sprouts and potatoes - what is this? We put the veg in bowls and serve up lesser amounts and people only take what they are going to eat; the rest go into leftovers.
Can't for the life of me remember the last time we threw away potatoes
it just doesn't happen. I usually make more and either Mr Z snaffles them that evening or I have them for brekkie.
