  • Central Scotland Potato (tattie) day.

If you live within reach of Dunblane (just north of Stirling) the local gardening Association are holding their annual potato day in the Cathedral Hall-beside the cathedral- on Saturday March 3rd.(a.m., I seem to remember) Alan Romans will be there. Great selection of spuds, sold singly at about 15p each, I guess. It was good last year. I got a mass of root trainers for £20.

A bit late in the year, do you think?

I have secretary's contact number if you p.m. me.

    Hi Berr,

Just seen this thread, sounds like a good day out. I will stick it in my diary so I don't forget.

    Thanks, Mandy

      Hi Mandy,

Yep. Moreover, if you've never seen it before, the cathedral next door is well worth a visit. In fact, all in all, there's likely to be no shortage of ancient ruins on display.
