Hope you're not calling Flum a bumpy road..................

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

glad you're a convert Snadger, What I do is sow some in the garden for eating and then some others in 7" pots in the greenhouse for seed.

Peas will come true to type as they self pollinate before the flower opens but Broadies aren't that clever and forget and open when all the insects are a buzzin and get crossed.

I'm still in search of my yellow podded Broadies but after 3 years still no luck

Goodness gracious, a visit from the great man himself!

Good idea about seperating the plants required for seed!
I remember you were after yellow podded broadies but must confess to having NEVER seen them? Where did you see them originally Nick? Could be a good starting point!

HSL - Heritage Seed Library - quite a few members on here, in excheange for £20 subscription, you get a choice of 6 packets of seeds from their catalogue. They are (normally) non-commercial varieties of seeds which are only kept going through seed libraries and swaps, not for sale

I grew broad beans once-a couple of years ago-I remember the variety was Optica-plants are a bit smaller than the others but crop and taste was good.I remember I got them from Suttons, now I had a look and it seems that only Unwins have them.If I had some more space I'd love to have them again but having a choice-broadies or tatties I choose spuds...
