I would think the soil will be alkali so should suit the brassicas family? Stone fruits like plums, almonds should also do well.

As far as tattties are concerned you may be better sticking with early varieties (as most of us do anyway) to avoid scab!

You could also check the Ph of your soil to get a better idea of acidity/alkalinity?
