Hopefully I have some potatoes grown from real seed in the allotment when I can find them after the snow goes.

I was cleaning out my seed packets today when I found my own kept seed from 2008 so I may give those a go as well!

I've still got some seed Snadge - of a different variety too. Maybe I'll do some more? Addictive? Nah!

I've just now washed my potato fruits and got the seeds out. Half are drying, and half are chitting in a shallow moist dish

Just done my final water change and rise of the seeds, they are now drying is a small bowl.

Im guessing they need a period of dormancy before they can be sown, does the 4 months the apples have been sat on my window sill count towards this? Once they dry how soon can I sow them?

I should think so. I just squeezed mine out; and put onto kitchen roll. Took a few weeks to germinate but they germinated none the less.

Well, if it's any help, I sowed the seeds in three different ways, and the ones which came up first were the ones that I got fresh from a potato apple that I had sat in the shed. I used water to clean the seeds but I didn't dry them out.

Those seeds came up quicker than the ones that I dried.
