Cleared the raised bed I have in the greenhouse the other day and had a cool thought!
This year I am only growing Crimson flowered broad beans and I'm starting from scratch again with bought seed from T&M.
I've grown that many different varieties in the past that the genepool has become tainted and they aren't coming up true to type.
Consequently I have loads of self saved tainted seed from various varieties including Crimson flowered,Aquadulce & Epicure.
Rather than waste these I think I will broadcast sow them in my greenhouse raised bed and dig them in as a green manure prior to planting my peppers etc.
Waste not want not is my motto!
