TheHat my wilkinsons' asparagus doesn't have a name on either - it is just green! I have potted mine on as they were growing in the bag and I don't want them to suffer. As soon as I get onto the lottie, they will get planted properly as I know they don't like growing in a pot - but I figured pot would be better than bag!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

          Nice thinking TS

            Thank's people
You MUST keep the roots damp or it will die.l'd pop it in a bucket of compost just for the week- and bring it in at night so it's not shocked when you plant it out...the green is going to be very tender!

Finally got to the nearest Wilkos to me, and bought:
some elephant garlic, net of shallots, some dutch irises (for my mum) seed compost and vericulite. I was well chuffed, esp as they had some seed tray inners for 97p for 3 and lime which I have been looking everywhere for. However it will have to wait until I can carry it
I saw they had lemon trees too, but these wont be viable at this time of year will they?

Yup- though I'd keep them frost free cos you don't know if they've been stored indoors!

If you are talking about Wilko's £3 lemon trees than GET ONE and just keep it warm.

Viable means able to germinate. These are already small trees. You won't get them at a better price if you want one. So pop it into a south/south-west facing warm window indoors until late May. Then put it outside feeding every month. If you can get some citrus fertiliser then great but it is very expensive and mine do fine on Growmore.

Every winter it must be protected from frost so if you have a greenhouse (cold will do) then fine. Otherwise, a cool, bright room in the house.
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

... they'll last a year at most before they split. I've had to buy new again this year.
I don't mind the money, it's the mountain of rubbish going into landfill I'm upset about.
