  • I was in Liverpool at the weekend and after reading this thread felt I had to nip in and stock up I bought:

    chicken poo
    Miracle Grow compost
    Bonemeal
    Fish, bone and blood
    Pea 'onward'
    Broad bean 'dwarf the sutton'
    Leek 'musselburgh'
    GH thermometer
    W clips
    Bean netting
    Soil PH tester
    Dibber
    Windowsill tray with lid
    Weed wand
    Gas canister

Oh and 2 dahlia bulbs that DD is going to give me for Mothers Day...she just doesnt know it yet The grand total was £53.20 which I thought was just brill. The weed wand was £18. I saw it in Dobbies Garden Centre for £29.99 on Friday Also, BF has bought me one of the small plastic covered 'greenhouses.' We might try to assemble that this weekend, assuming we dont get snowed in

        • Hi

I tried my local Wilkos, but no fruit trees yet. I have bought some from Morrisons, and even B and M, not sure how many stores they have.

            • Just around the corner from our Wilkinsons there is a store called "Home Bargains", I just wondered if anyone else had a store of this name. They are selling asparagus at 99p and onions and shallots at 99p, as well as other bulbs. Cheaper even than Wilko!

              • I got my garden fork from "Home Bargains", the cheapest around, £4, no point buying a good one if it might get stolen.

Is Home Bargains the one on Lupton Ave that used to be Windsors?

Don't know how Mally gets his stuff so cheap. He got a min-max thermometer at half the good price I paid.

I got one at Wilko's too but it was just over £3. And yes they are good and as accurate as any plant could want.
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

                      • Today I went into Wilkos and bought some shaped bed edging - I think it was made from Willow. Another impulse buy and I not sure where I'm going to use it but I bought four pieces so could make edging for an island square bed or enough to front a bed.. when I get a round tuit.
