      I get frustrated with Lidl's, they put a flyer through my door, I get all excited about new gardening stuff due in, I turn up on the right day...and get told that what I wanted hasn't been delivered to my local store...EVERY TIME!!!!

          Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

          Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

          • Well this winter has proved too much for my Phoenix canariensis palm. It may come back again but not in my life I think and is currently a delicate shade of beige all over. 10 years down the drain because of the British weather.

            However bought a new one at Wilko's this morning for £3.

            Back to the drawing board. I think Lady S. had better knit it a wooly jumper.

              B&M have taken over Kwik Save @ Torre Rd. Home Bargains have taken over Kwik Save @ x-gates. I think there is now one on Lupton Ave where Windsors used to be.

                Hey Jilly,

                I have just bought one do we need to have more than one then or are they self pollenating.

                You have to loose sight of the shore sometimes to cross new oceans

                I would be a perfectionist, but I dont have the time

                  Gosh they grow big, didnt realise when I bought them

                  Oh well not to worry will take a while to get to that size so will grow for the first couple of years in tubs as I planned, then move to my fruit bed area once it is ready and they are more established

                    Some good growing info on this website
                    .:: Blueberries Gardening ::.

                    "Pollination - Most fruit trees, including blueberries have both male and female organs on the same flower, but not all are self pollinating. The best bet for blueberries is to have different varieties of blueberries within 100 feet, so bees can travel and cross pollinate. Blueberries cannot be fertilized by their own pollen!"

                        • Got 3 apple and a plum tree from Aldi last week, £4 each. Am going to try and grow them as cordons but as I don't know what rootstock they are on I may be strugling to keep them small.

                            Try Poundstretcher / Instore if you have one local.
