Have sweet peppers, chillies, aubergines and a couple of mini tomatoes (the main batch won't go in until March) pretty much all through now and on a warm window ledge with heat underneath. A few haven't come through yet and are with some alpine strawberry plants in a heated propogator. Also put some banana seeds in the other day as an experiment for the garden. In the conservatory are onion seeds (Up to Date, now through), Norli mange tout, Pilot peas, Snowball cauliflowers (for growing on in polytunnel), Greyhound cabbage (also for polytunnel), Poppet peas, sweet peas and garlic and shallots in the unheated greenhouse.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Got my seeds last week in the UK- about half the price of over here.
So - I'm hoping by this weekend I'll have unpacked enough boxes to make me feel not guilty about spending a couple of hours with seed trays....exciting isn't it?????"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Its the first time i've started this early so i hope its not a mistake.
Spot on with the tatties and tattieman recommends having them rose end up and they should have lots of shoots by end of March when I'll consider putting mine in.

i have 3 varieties of pepper and 3 of tomato all from the real seed company in my brand new heated propogator as of 1/2/10.
i've had onions and garlic in since autumn, i used the underbed plastic storage boxes for these, they on offer at wilko's, around £2 each, they're the perfect size plus with a few holes drilled and use the lid as the tray they're ideal until i sort out some raised beds.
i'm want to plant some shallots and more onions and garlic in a similar way, is it too soon or should i wait a little longer?"Example is not the main thing in influencing others, it is the only thing."

I put Onions and Garlic in back in November, and as of this morning I've got 6 varieties of Spud chitting by the kitchen window.
When I've finished my soup (second bowl ) I'm going to sort out my seed mountain, and plan what and when.Last edited by Glutton4...; 03-02-2010, 02:13 PM.All the best - Glutton 4 Punishment

I think this has been posted a few times before, but it's a very handy, visual, 'what should I be planting now?' chart.

Lazgaot I'll be setting my other toms later on in the month as well, its only the Marmande beefsteak I've started because read that they need an early start.
Just noticed that Bigmallys set his Marigolds I'd forgotten about needing to do them so they'll be ready when my toms go in the greenhouse.Location....East Midlands.
