Today i have bought 4 rhubarb crowns from morrisions which I am planning to plant onto my plot. I have already dug the bed over but the weather forecast shows more snow and heavy frosts. I have a greenhouse but it is old and has gaps in so it isnt very frost proof. Would it be best for me to plant it into the bed, plant it into some pots and hope for the best with greenhouse or wait until spring?

Rhubarb is very hardy. Mine is throwing up new leaves already! However, the young crowns may be susceptible to cold, so I'd wait until February/March before planting them out. If you keep them in a cool place they shouldn't sprout too much.
Don't forget that you shouldn't pull any of the stalks in the first year and only lightly in the second year.
