There is also the factor of interacting with nature in the fresh air versus interacting with your sofa and a reality tv show! Put that in your cost benefit analysis
How big a plot did you have planted out for your profit??
Veg bed 6ft*3ft = 18sqft
Veg bed 10ft*2ft= 20sqft
Raised beds 3ft*4ft =12sqft *6 = 72sqft

Sweetcorn (10 plants)
3 pumpkin plants (7 fruit between them)
3 Cobnut squash plants (14 fruit between them)
2 Winter squash plants (5 fruit between them)
Swede (wont be growing them again)
Spring onions (2 varieties)
Radish (will go back to growing these in the greenhouse this year)

Onions (sown from seed and nicely maturing)

Reetnproper I am amazed and astounded. What a fantastic effort and an inspiration to us all. I often tot up what the cost of the vegetables for a meal would be or for the week etc but never for an entire year.
What an achievement.
Great food, exercise, personal development and a real sense of achievement. Plus all the knowledge you have gained.
I am sure you will turn a good profit next year and every year after that.

Right I've got 84 ft of raised beds plus a few containers and am moving the raspberries out of the beds so hopefully a good pound per square foot for me too !!
