I've not been around for a while, but it seems I shall start with the same question I left with!
Has anyone tried planting peas and potatoes together? I have found as many references to them not being suited as to them being great companion plants. I am planning to put a row of Petit Provencale (dwarf early pea) all around the bed and rows of Mangetout Sweet Green (also dwarf) between every other row of early spuds (Agate). My records show that the peas planted last Feb did the best and were harvested from mid May. The mangetout were also harvested around the same time. My spuds should be ready early/mid June so all should work out. Unless anyone tells me that peas and spuds are a disaster together. I know Sir Bob of Flowerdew thinks they are a good idea - anyone else????
(Similarly; beans and brassicas?)
