Green Sausage Toms..

Anyone tried these?

I've had them in the prop for 3 weeks now, so sign of germination.. Should I get rid and sow again?

Kind of leads me onto the question if you buy seeds from somewhere and have a 0% germination rate would you complain? Probably trying to run before I can walk, but my black cherry toms, and various chillies have germinated fine.

I'm having the same problem with Cream Sausage Toms, everything else has germinated fine but these are a no show. I would definately drop whoever you bought them from an email.

I grow Cream Sausage as a matter of course Chris. Never tried Green Sausage but last year tried Green Zebra. They were slow germinating so would continue nursing for a week ot two. And, yes, if I got zero germination from a batch I would complain, very politely of course.

I think you've been very good to wait 3 weeks on the Green Sausage tomatoes germinating, but I'd say they may be old seed by the sounds of it. I'd have been poking in the propagator after a week for any tell tale signs of any germination.

I hope you manage to get some to germinate.

I tried red sausage toms last year...........they were rubbish!

Im growing them for the first time this year, but holding off sowing for a couple more weeks yet.

What I did notice with these tomatoes, apart from the 'whispy' foliage, was they are prone to BER, so keep an eye on your watering requirements.

Just sowed 8 more yesterday - 4 each in a 3" pot, as advised in another thread...

I've also sent an email, being cheeky... but everything else I bought from the place germinated fine - which I've explained.. if it gets me replacement seeds, then I'll be happy. If not, I doubt I'll order from there again! It's only like £1.60 odd, but it's all about the principle for me I'm afriad
