my brother told me that you can use your grass clippings to earth up potato plants, and then dig them back into the bed at the end of the season. Apparently its a Monty Don tip.
as we have more grass clippings than we know what to do with (apart from making very very very slow compost), has anyone tried this? is it true? apart from the green hands, it would seem easier than actually earthing them up.
