Cucumber Seedlings - support needed?

They'll be massive! And without a heated gh they'll be leggy too.
I sow mine late April in the cold greenhouse and put them outside in June.

Not be sowing mine until April - have tried earlier and it's not worked at all for me. Enough other stuff on window ledges without them at the moment anyway!

I did the same last year and kept them indoors, I had a fantastic crop of Cucumbers in the kitchen though!

We planted ours in february last year and they all died so we had to buy a new packet of seeds but they didn't do very well either, think we only had 1 tiny cucumber off 3 plants, they just didn't seem to gow once they were outside. Last year was our 1st year at growing our own fruit and veg though so we expected some failures. This year we have 3 different types of cucumbers (can't remember what they are as hubby ordered them) so hoping for more success as long as we don;t plant them too early. Think they are filed under march or april in our seed box

I always start my cucumbers off in april. I use female only types and grow them in a cool greenhouse. Last year they didnt do so well but the year before I was getting about 15 cucumbers per week and in the end had to resort to pickling them so that they didnt go to waste. Needless to say we were eating pickled cucumber till the middle of last year!
