Lucky you, how did you manage that? A couple of my over wintered Chilli plants are showing some signs of new growth, but nowhere near flowering. What's your secret?

Herm, I feel a bit embarassed to post this as I already posted on the ginger thread with this pic. I don't know what kind of chilli this is, but I took a paintbrush to 5 flowers on this one this morning.

Right, that's it I'm going to go and sulk in the corner

PS, looks like it might be a Gusto Purple.

Well it has been in that pot on the bathroom windowsill (west facing) since I dug it up on the lottie last October. Kept a bit on the dry side - the leaves droop when it needs a bit of watering - and I haven't fed it. The bathroom radiator doesn't work but it is fairly warm as I have the boiler and hot water tank up there too.
Don't know if this info helps - and thanks for the tip about the possible name - all it says on the label is 'Chilli Purple'!

Erm, my chillies are on the compost heap.
Never mind, a nice fresh slate for the new seasons to come, and a chance to try something different. Dunno what yet though.

                    Hi,

I over wintered two Bishop's Hat chillis this year and both sprouting leaves but no flowers yet. Plenty of time though.

Mine have been sitting in the corner of the kitchen - we have underfloor heating in there so i guess it is a bit like being on a heated mat. They only get watered when they look like they are about to die!

My Prairie Fire is starting to go again, have just given it a feed and will be getting the paint brush out when any of the "load" of flowers start opening. Can't wait as have had to (looks painful) buy chillis a couple of times recently......

Well, folks that didn't take long. My chilli flowers successfully pollinated and there are some diddy chillies now growing 10 days later. I never knew this could happen!
