heat treated onions

are heat treated onion sets really worth it. im contemplating trying heat treated red onion sets this year. last year i had normal over wintering red onions but they all went to seed.

I have used heat treated Red Baron as I was advised that the non treated ones were more liable to bolt, but used non treated white sets. Neither bolted. This year I'm trying from seed for the first time.

I think so, last year I grew 300 onions and not one went to seed.
