This year I am growing Corno di Torro, Corno Rosso and Eves Apple.
I grew Corno Rosso last year and Corno di Torro the year before and I have found them both delicious and bountiful. There is a possibility that they are one and the same variety but I am not 100% sure.
I get a lot of my seeds form Simpsons and some from T & M.
Saved seeds from bought redpeppers, just to try, saved seed from similar italian peppers, Atris F1, Duchy Originals [sale on last year], and I think pepper topepo from seeds of italy.
I'm growing seeds saved from a shop bought sweet pepper - just to see if I can, also Corno di toro (cant remember where I bought these ) some Wilkinsons own brand Sweet mini red and sweet chocolate ( from ebay )
Lipstick - originally from Real Seeds, now saved
Orange Bell - Real Seeds
Sunnybrook - Real Seeds, new this year
Redskin dwarf ones - can't remember, posibly T&M, grew them last year on the window ledge for a nice early crop
Re Californian Wonder, I don't like them much as I find they're rather tasteless and poor cropping so it shows that different people like different plants.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Tried sweet peppers for the first time last year (can't remember variety without looking it up) and not sure i'm going to try them again this year. They took ages & ages & ages to grow to a decent size & even longer to ripen - everything else was finshed by the time they were ready. Also they were totally plagued by whitefly, absolutley covered despite french marigolds being planted underneath, regular blastings with the hosepipe & finally squirtings with bug spray
