Squash advice

Hi, i have lots of different types of squash and would like to grow as many types as poss, but as usual do not have all the space. what are the best types of squash for climbing, as i can grow some up trellises or up the sides of fences, I know there are some knowledgeable grapes that can advise me

I grew a squash called "Little Green Gem" last year up an arch (2 plants), the squash themselves are only cricket ball size and very tasty, the others I've grown over my arch in the past are " Onion squash" ( these need support on the fruit), also one called "Munchkin" there tennis ball size flattish yellow squash, but I'd say any that trail and the squash when grown aren't too big will be OK over some trellis, but you'll have to tie them in.
What kind have you got????

I am going to try the joy larkcom method this year and twirl the leader round in a circle to save space and pin it down at intervals maybe this could offer an alternative

I'm trying "Turks Turban" and "Baby Bear" trained along a trellis this year. As they are only supposed to be small squash , they shouldn't need any fruit support. I'm sure I saw an old episode of Gardeners World where they trained full-sized Halloween Pumpkins over a pergola, but they had to net the fruit for support.

Last year I grew Cobnut squash up the chicken wire fence which seperates the veg patch from the lawn. They did very well and two plants produced 9 good sized fruit which didn't need netting at all. Will be doing the same this year.

Bon-Bon will cheerfully cling onto a fence and set its not inconsiderably sized fruit up there.... it will also cheerfully swamp other squashes and anything else that gets in its way....
