will i need to cover my peas and broadies?

peas have been hardened for a week (these are feltham first) alongside the broad beans.

They desperately need to go in the ground but we are forecast frost for the next few days (probably a while).

Do I plant them in and cover them/cloche them?

I would think they'd cope. I'd put them out (I have my home-bred peas outside and they've had frost and snow and are off like rockets) but if you do, don't sue me if they die!

If Flum's are ok up here in the North, I would think you'll be all right down there in the South? Peas and Broad Beans are very hardy!

My first row of Feltham First were planted out on the lottie last Thursday. It is not likelt that a frost will kill them, but very cold winds can play havoc with them so if possible put in a sheltered spot out of the wind.

If you have cloches you could use them for a few days till the plants are established. Cold winds are more likely to harm them than actual frost.
