last week i sowed toms, chilli's, sweet peppers and aubergines, this week all i've got left is sweet peppers, half the chilli's and aubergines not shown themselves yet........ toms germinated, grew at great speed, hit the top of the propagator and have collapsed, luckily i got plenty more seed. Not enough sunlight hitting they propagator so have moved them into outhouse ( must remember to bring them into the warmer side of the wall in the evening)

I planted all my leggy seedlings "deep" in loo rolls thanks to advice from the vine & they are doing nicely.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

As soon as my seedlings begin to emerge I move them out of the propagator (poly bag!). Grow them hard, it toughens them up.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

was just going to say the same thing Flummery. I have mine in the cold conservatory or the greenhouse during the day (unheated) and bring them back in at night time. So far they are doing fine.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
