cold tatties

as the sun was really shining today,i decided to get my tattie tubs ready,i got them all clean and ready and went to bring the bagged up tattie soil to get everything together......12 compost bags full of solid soil/compost..i had left them in the shade of the wall when tidying up and now have 12 very large ice cubes,have now put them where the sun can warm them,but it serves me right for "tidying up",any ideas how long to defrost big ice blocks when each night (except one) has been subzero.....ooooooooohhhhhh the joys of gardening

If you have greenhouse, put some in there or bring inside. Hey I used to live in Ayr, just thought I would add that in.
