  • garden blogs?

Hi - Sorry if this is the wrong place, but I was just wondering if anyone blogs? I would like to start following some garden blogs if you do!
New to this gardening lark... fingers slowly turning green!

Hi Threepeas. Look at the green bar at the top of the page. Second from the left is "blogs". Several of us have started them although not all (including me) update them regularly.

I've never looked at the blog section before, so just did and I don't get how it works

A few people (including me, although mine is relatively new) have links to their blogs outside of the vine on their signatures. Some have been going for ages and are worth a look.

Click on Blogs and you will see a random extract from one of them. If you click on Total Blogs (LHS of screen) you will see there are currently 258 of them.

When you are reading posts, you'll see many blog addresses in the signatures (as here!)
            Just click and you're off.

It's easy to lose yourself in blogland - when you clicked on someones blog link from here and have a read....then click on one of their links to another blog, and another, and another........

You can follow mine if you want.
Blogging is really easy. Blogs are generally by nature very self indulgent and mine is no exception.
It was basically set up so my sister who lives abroad could follow the pumpkin growing progress but I seem to have picked up a couple of followers along the way.

Bit of sad news tho today, the dog has returned home and Mrs Pumpy is a bit down about it :-(

I do that with sewing blogs, but I've never really got into gardening ones

I started a blog at the start of the year as this is my first time growing vegetables

I'm hoping it will help me keep track of mistakes I make this year so I don't make the same next year! Also I'm putting my cookery experiences in it in the hope that later on in the year I will be cooking my own grown veg

Oh and the link is below

Can you sort blogs out for area you live in, so you can work out similar sowing patterns?

Wondered why I hadn't seen that much of you lately. You left a trail of breadcrumbs right?

I think all of you plugging your own blog is completely shameful.
                          Sorry, I meant shameless.....

Blogs are great if you can find the time to update them. I started one last year but it fell by the wayside about last june.

I'm not sure about the blogs set up here through the Vine, but you can order and categorise any 'external' blogs (eg those through blogger, wordpress etc) that you follow using Google Reader.
