Just remind her of all those lovely veggies you'll be providing for the dinner table in a few months time.

I am fortunate to be blessed with a wonderful, kind, sensitive man who can't tell a tomato from a carrot. I sneakily rotate the seedlings on the windowsill for new ones and occaisonally let him hear me mutter about 'how slow they're growing'. I've also pretended not to notice how the inhabitants of the tool box are apparently breeding. Save that one for a rainy day.

        Llamas - be fair...
Tools are SUPPOSED to breed. It means the jobs on the (I love the American name for it) "Honey Do" list get done that bit more quickly and to a higher standard.
It's the natural way of things.

I don't have anything in the house but I do try to keep the OH from going out into the garden as every time she does all I get is moans about all the pots and cold frames and greenhouses and there is no where for her to sit etc, etc. When you take it that we probably only get half a dozen days a year when it is warm enough to sit out.

            Harden the seedlings off.

Get them outside in the coldframe.

Jiving on down to the beach to see the blue and the gray, seems to be all and it's rosy-it's a beautiful day!

;Tell her your growing some flowers for the mother-in-law.
That will keep both of them happy.
                    Result!
