Now finally the snow has cleared off my raised beds and i can see that some of the Kohlrabi plants have survived, they still have intact small bulb and green leaves in their center, though big leaves are damaged... should i just pull them over or leave them in the ground to see if they will grow to expected size ?

Kohlrabi become woody and unpalatable after a too long in the ground. They are not recommended to be overwintered. Much better to sow successionally and then eat the young swollen stems.

I have some overwinterd ones too, the centres look as if they are growing, probably going to seed. They look nice and fresh, so I'm going to cut the leaves and try using them for greens.I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
Now a little Shrinking Violet.
