Summer Salads - Grow Your Own Wants Your Advice!!

I am growing Thompson & Morgan mixed oriental leaves in a container on my kitchen window sill and they are doing really well, sowed the seeds 4 weeks ago and they should be ready to pick in a couple of weeks.

We were just going to go with 2 types of lettuce, iceberg and red salad bowl, but after reading all the posts about cut and come again salad leaves we've also plummed for some rocket and some mixed salad leaf. We'll be growing the standard type lettuces in one of our plots, but the mixed salad leaf are going to go into the garden, so as to allow us easy access throughout the summer!

To go with the salad we've spring onions, celery, 11 types of tomato, 2 types of raddish, 2 types of beetroot, salad potatoes, peppers and some cabbages, so I think we'll be eating lots os lovely salads, both 'normal' and perhaps one or two Greek salads (which I love!)

I guess the only things we wont be able to grow are the meat or fish that we want to have with it and perhaps the bread!

Got one Jennie, but havent really got the room to grow the wheat to make the flour, if you see what I meant!
