  • Massive pat on the back

Hey all! Dont mean to blow my own trumpet but just thought I would let you all know how happy I am to see my tiny little plot coming to life!! I wish I had a photo to show you all.

Its only my second yer doing this as I started when I was 18 and although I managed to grow lots of things last year I feel a little more cotrolled this year.

I wonder if people would like to post what their biggest achievment/ best outcome this season so far...

Mine has to be to get a full row of parsnips to germinate for the first time ever

Hope you are all having as much luck and enjoying it as much as I

You've managed to do what a lot of old hands have trouble with. Snips can be a real pain and a lot of people don't bother with them. Now all you have to do is wait. If only they would grow as fast as radishes

I think after you've done all that work on your plot you deserve a pat on the back, there's nothing better than seeing all your hard work bare fruit or veg as the case may be.

Well done Alex, it is so satisfying to see things actually happening the way they are meant to. I have to say my mission this year is to actually grow spring onions. I know they are supposed to be really easy, but do you think I can grow them..... no!!!
We would like to see pics if you can, we are very nosy, you know.

Thanks for all your replies!! I have just put a row of spring onions in one of the raised beds so will see if I have any luck. Will be going down tomorrow so will take some pics and post them.

I dare not go outside today as I may be blown away.
