Mines just starting, there is a marble sized sprout in the centre and tiny ones starting elsewhere. When do you pick them?

We planted some purple broccoli last year, unfortunately we had put it into one of the raised beds and it was too crowded. We then split it up and moved it last autumn to a bigger bed and left it over winter. About a month or so ago we were going to dig it up and ditch it, but noticed it was loaded with gorgeous florets so left it. We have since had a wonderful few pickiings already from it, so tender and so much better than last year's normal green variety. So will definitely be planting some again, in fact we already have some up in the polytunnel.
