Thanks for the info EK!
I wanted to watch this last night but someone who shall be nameless posted the wrong start time on the vine yesterday so I missed it!!!
Will try and record it next week to be sure and catch it.
If you haven't seen it before stick with it - in the first programme they are just going through what has been damaged by the harsh winter and reporting on a heating experiment they carried out last year.
I don't think that is giving anything away to spoil your enjoyment, just hopefully a synopsis to help you into it
Thanks Piskie - just watched it - great! Old style gardening proggie! Not sure about her Ladyship and her furs though (but that's me and my views on the landed nobility and their castles!).

Just had a check to make sure it wasn't me! Phew!
Glad it's back. And they're just chitting spuds and starting off broadies too. Hurray!
It's filmed just a few mile from us so is great for knowing when to do things in this climate - not like south-mouthers programmes where it's all plant stuff outside in February or start growing pineapples cos of global warming!

Your kids get to go to uni for free, we get to grow pineapples.
Or rather we don't, because we don't all live in cornwall or devon

Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either.
Hmm - well it was nice for us south - mouthers to find out how to get one's head gardener out with one's house party to brush the snow orf one's topiary before it gets ruined! How the other half live.

Woah peeps! you seem to have all takent the term "south-mouthers" as an insult when it certainly wasn't meant as one. The point i was making is that just about every other gardening programme goes by mid to south of England seasons which makes it quite hard to work out when those of us in the north (including north of England too) should be planting or pruning etc.... I had also just watched the Grow Your Own Drugs prog which was going on about growing bananas etc.. outside.....
So, apologies if any offence was taken, but it wasn't intended....
