cucumber seed leafs drooping down normal?

is it normal for cucumber seedlings leaves to droop down? theyve been doing it every day for the past 3 days on all my plants and sort of go straight again over night.

is it normal or to much sun? ive been leaving them on a south facing balcony wall during the day so theyve had loads of sun.

it doesnt apear to be effecting the rate of growth on the first real leaves that are starting to pop out btw they pretty much doubled in size over night

Could be they're too hot - plants often wilt if the roots can't take up moisture quickly enough to replace that lost by transpiration (I think it's called) or like perspiration for us - doesn't mean it is good to give them more water as Cu's don't like to be waterlogged.

perhaps misting with water might help although not in direct sunlight and move them somewhere light and cooler if you can.

I don't think there is a problem - don't over water it though.

It sounds like they're wilting in the heat then recovering when it cools down. That's what I reckon but someone more knowledgeable may have a better explanation.

Are they actually floppy when they droop or are they still quite ahem, erect?

If floppy, I'd worry. Otherwise, just let them get on with it.

Perhaps remove them from direct sunlight for a while until they get bigger.

non have became floppy so far they have all remained really stable the leaves just arch down like in the pic.

i guess i will just leave them to it but maybe give them a bit of shade every few hours to see if it seems to help.

my wifes cat had a nibble out of one and it managed to recover but its like half the size of all the others lol, i guess if any are going to die from to much heat that will go first and give me a warning to keep the others a bit cooler
