  • Cabbage Copenhagen Market

Just acquired a bag of seed for Cabbage "Copenhagen Market". Anyone grown this? Any top tips? Is it too late to sow this for an autumn crop, or will it bolt?

It's a summer cabbage - mine are just about 3" high, all in one pot. I'll transplant them next week probably. I'd sow them fairly soon.

Got them free with the Guardian last year for the price of a 2nd class stamp and it's my second year with them. They are the pointy greyhound type, very nice.

My favourite cabbage at the moment always grew golden acre or hispi for my summer brassica but someone gave me a packet of seeds and I had such a good crop last year I'm a convert...nice and tender and don't seem to split in the first rain storm.

I try and sow summer cabbage in succession in modules.. to get a good continuity of young ones.

      Recommended ...sow some!

When you say 'summer' cabbage when would a sowing now be ready to crop then?
