Welcome to the vine Deltz.
To reassure you, I have successfully grown pumpkins and marrows in growbags. I would recommend no more than 2 to a bag as they need space to sprawl. I have also seen them grown in bins and various other containers. Give them as much width as possible as the roots like to go out rather than down.

I took the glass out of various picture frames to cover my module trays. Works well, and I can easily turn them over if there's condensation on the underside.
