  • Very excited - got my seeds!

We went out on Sunday and spent my £50 garden centre voucher

Since this is my first year of growing, I have only got the odd packet of seeds that I've picked up, so I made my list and we got loads of seeds!

I also got a couple of big bags of potting compost and some seed trays and little propagator lids for them.

I'm going to start making newspaper pots for when my seedlings get nice and big

I got seeds for: peas, leeks, peppers, spinach, carrots, cucumber, 4 different tomatoes, lettuce, courgette, onion sets and first early and maincrop potatoes

I've probably got more than I need, but there are still a few things I want that I haven't got

How very true - who can say no to a new variety! There's no way I have enough acres for all the seeds sitting in the tin at home... Wishing you lots of fun growing everything this summer OWG.

As today is officially my first day of being self employed, I ordered my seeds to celebrate - from Edwin Tucker, Moles Seeds and a company in Holland are supplying the onions and shallots. I'm not certain I will have quite enough but spent £600 Anywhere that remains empty will have to have a green manure grown on it to keep down the weeds and help raise fertility for next year!!

Sounds like you're going to be a little bit busy in the coming months rat!
