  • squash suggestion please

Hi. I was hoping for a little bit of advise on what summer squash to grow. I have jumbo pink banana and spaghetti which i grew last year and will be doing them again this year and fancied summer ones too. I was hoping to find somewhere that sold a selection but i haven't so far. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Idealy it will be prolific and/or easy and not take up too much room as i only have my garden to grow them in. Thanks in advance, jemma

Recently the GYO mag were giving away samples of yellow scallop, what about them? I'm sure I saw some people swapping them in the seed swap forum.

If you don't have anything to swap they may accept a SAE.

thanks have some of the swaps that one of them had requested so fingers crossed. I have brought a couple of types from premier seeds just wish they did a mixed pack as i really don't need the quantity they sell them in.

I don't think that you can go far wrong with normal courgettes in the summer, I've been growing Striato d'Napoli from Real Seeds for a few years now and am impressed by it's compact nature which doesn't seem to reduce yield.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

These look interesting, a Pattison Patty, but different in colouring.
