Can I put chicken pellets in carrot bed instead of manure.

It would still count as manure and carrots don't like that. Just make sure you have fairly stone-free, deep soil and your carrots will do fine. Also use something to keep slugs at bay or they will nick all the foliage as soon as it appears.Happy Gardening,

Don't put ANY manure in with carrots. They'll grow in sand! Otherwise you'll get forked roots.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
