  • Which Pea is best?

I have started planting Feltham First peas, for a nice early crop, but wondered if anyone has any ideas as to what to go onto next for a nice long summer of peas, and anyone know of anything that will take me as late into the season /winter as possible.
Has anyone ever taken a few of a load of different peas to test and compare?

I'm a pea virgin myself...I did get a few last summer, but they were all riddled with maggots. I'll have another go though. Caroline Foley (the Allotment Handbook) recommends, in order for a succession: Kelvenden Wonder; Onward; Rondo. Good luck.

You had a case of pea moth Two Sheds. I just use kelvedon wonder and sow in succession at fortnightly intervals.
I just love her, but cant stand squealers.

Hello Mucky Liz, I've got Kelvedon Wonder. If you want a few to run your own trial against Feltham First I'd be happy to send them to you. PM you address if interested.
