Is it only Jerusalem artichoke you eat the tubers? I can find "Green Globe", "Imperial Star" and Cardoon - but all of these seem to focus on eating the heart/head - bit above ground anyway.

    Is this different?

Am I as well picking some up in the supermarket if I can find it and trying that?

    Thanks
    Caro

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day

Hey Caro, that's globe artichokes that they are referring to. A big sort of thistle type looking plant...no relation to the Jerusalem variety, so very confusing...

The English language is very weird having names that are the same but mean different things.
        My two favorites are
Cleave , to join together or split apart.
Let , To allow , to disallow i.e. without let or hindrance.
        Any more ?
Expect the worst in life and you will probably have under estimated!
