Mine are just on a windowledge.
You have to remember that seeds can't read seed packets, they germinate when they're good and ready. Yours are starting to germinate, so it sounds like you're doing everything right. Give 'em a chance hun.

All my Cucurbits are still safely in their packets. However, as soon as I can be bothered to pot up all the Brassicas in one of my heated props, they'll be going in there! I just wish the weather would change - the GH is full of stuff that needs do go out now, and there's stuff that needs to go from the kitchen into the GH!

I wasn't getting anywhere with my cucumbers, pumpkins etc so ai took the seeds back out and popped them between damp tissue in a takeaway container. This then goes on top of a hot water bottle in a picnic cool bag. It is only taking a day or two for the root to start then they go in pots and break through the soil in another few days.

I've done pumpkins, courgettes, cucumber, melons, butternut squash in there so far and have got rather addicted to checking on what is happening in my little box whenever I go into the kitchen.

Mine won't be sown for a few days yet as I'll be away next weekend, they'll go in when I get back along with the sweetcorn.... sowed too early last year and they sulked for ages when they went out... got about 15 varieties of squash plus Atlantic Giant

My squash/courgette's are about 3 inches tall in the polly tunnel.

That said I fancy a "furtle" so may have to plant something else

This year when it got so cold I dug out a propagator- it's on a north facing windowledge so I figured the extra heat would be useful.

I didn't realise pumpkins were so trying - I planted about 20 seeds and now have plants coming out of my ears, all about 8 - 12" high. Just planted them in pots in unheated GH.

No they aren't really that tricky T8Ter, DarkCrow is just a bit over excited coz this is the first thing he's ever grown. You can't fault his enthusiasm though!
