T.S bet me too it, there should be enough food in the compost that you have used...given you have used new compost that is. It the seedling's are big enough try re-potting them into new compost to see if that help's them.
You may find that homemade compost is a bit strong for seeds/seedlings.
It's more of a soil improver than a potting compost. Leafmould is ideal though, mixed in with bought stuff to stretch it out.
