Frost confusing

New to it all this year so please forgive me for any silly questions.
My mother inlaw mentioned to me that you can still get frost in a greenhouse, I'm presuming she meant a unheated greenhouse in the middle of winter. The thing is I have lots of seedlings and small plants on window sills, (tomatoes, chilli's and herbs) I have potatoes in bags that have been outside from the start and some strawberry plants in a pot that I have been taking into the house on a night.
With it going to be cold over the next couple of days I'm wondering what to do with the potatoes, would they be ok in my unheated greenhouse? I understand that I can earth them up to completely cover them but I have being leaving a few leaves uncovered and would like to keep them this way.
When is the right time to move my seedlings/small plants to the greenhouse?

You are just down the road from me,so our climate will be similar!
Potatoes will be fine in the greenhouse. I planted up 4 containers of first earlies which are now flowering in the greenhouse. I'll put them outside at the end of the month.

If you just leave the strawbs inside the greenhouse, you should get an earlier crop.( They are very hardy and really don't need a greenhouse unless you want early crops)

Temperatures may go down to -1 C this week, so stuff in the greenhouse should be fine. If you are worried, just go out and cover pants up with some newspaper overnight!

We should be safe from frost by the end of May, but remember to harden stuff off before planting outside.

If you need some tomatoes for your greenhouse later this month, then send me a message....I've managed to grow 7 varieties from seed and have far too many plants!

I have acquired some plastic bottles, cut in half, keep screew cap on to cover smaller seedlings. Also for larger seedlings just cut top off and cover. I find this helps for frost protection and also mini cloche for daytime

Thanks for the replies and the offer of tomatoes Maddie, I have two varieties of tomatoes on the windowsills doing great, but thank you anyhow.
