      You will need:

      1 plate
      2 sheets of kitchen towel
      Some water
Enough cling film to cover the plate
      Some sweetcorn seeds
      A warm place

      Instructions

Fold a piece of kitchen towel in half twice (so you have a square roughly a quarter of the size but four times as thick).

Wet the kitchen towel to make it damp, but not dripping with water.

Place the kitchen towel on the plate, then scatter your sweetcorn seeds on top.

Follow the same procedure for the second kitchen towel as you di with the first, and place it on top of the sweetcorn seeds.

Cover the whole plate in cling film to help keep the moisture in.

Put the plate somewhere warm and dark, and leave it for three days.

After three days, check on the seeds. Any that have germinated should be(very carefully) put in compost or planted out. Check daily for more germination.

          Sweet Corn F1 Swift Seeds

I live in Aberdeenshire Scotland and chose swift due to its hardyness in colder weather, i germinated in my greenhouse (unheated) used a blend of compost, garden soil and a little vermiculite and watered daily and had great success, 100% germination, after 1 week 8 inches.
