Who ever nicked spring can they please return it ASAP,my ickle greenhouse it starting to get too full,the cloche is full the ground is cold,the pars**** are refusing to germinate

My plants need planting out ASAP,so if you've kicked it or has info that could lead to its rapid return can you just put it back or get it put back.No questions will be asked

Metcheck, says down to 0 for me and the Met Office, which is the other one I use, says 1c, but I know I'm always under their prediction by at least 2c.

I don't like or use the BBC weather anymore, but I used to use it all the time.
IIRC I think the BBC gets all their weather stuff from the Met Office anyway.

Cold, but also not enough rain here either. My plot is in great need of a good watering, was hoping for May showers as we'd missed out on April showers.

Popped down to mine plot for 2 minutes and was forced to pick some rhubarb, as it was sprawling onto a path. A few strawberry plants were in flower, but the ground was so dry and I was not able to water today, so I don't know if I'll get a good crop this year. However I did quickly put the huge rhubarb leaves in between some of the strawberry and poached egg plants.

So I'd be happy with a good rain for a day or 2, to give everything a new lease of life.

It's only been 8C again today with a cold north wind, and the heating is on again tonight.

The back garden is really dry: I'm very frugal with water but the new plants are drooping so I might have a bath tonight (I pump the water out onto the garden with one of these)

I've just gone out and tucked my plants up for the night. The temperature in the greenhouse is still getting down to 4C. I fleece the courgettes, tomatoes, beans and chillies in there, and still some of the butternut squash looked a bit sorry for themselves. Mind you, it's the un-named ones from a freebie packet, the hunters and harriers look OK, so maybe they are a bit hardier. It's so cold I didn't want to stay around doing anything much. We were lucky and had a few downpours in the last few days, so all the water butts are full, and the ground is wet. The sky is black at the moment so more on the way probably.

It's not been seen here - I still ventured down to the plot tonight in my t-shirt, 3/4 lengths and flip flops.

I will concede that I also wore my hoodie.

Looked upon my forlorne potatoes too, poor things.

Heard from my father-in-law that he had snow in Sheffield today. IN MAY!
