Flys around carrots

  • Flys around carrots

    Hi

    For about a week now i have notise small black flys gathering up at the top of my fleece. When i kill them a few days later i see more gathering up at the top. Their always group together in one spot in one specific area

    i am growing fly a way

    What could this be?

    It's too early for carrot fly, which are tiny anyway. I'm not sure what they are (mosquitoes?) but they could be goodies, so are you sure you need to kill them?

        Very good insect ID site that - after years of wondering what the black millipedes? hanging out of my potatos were I finally know they're black snake millipedes,

        Jiving on down to the beach to see the blue and the gray, seems to be all and it's rosy-it's a beautiful day!

          well i dont know , by killing them im just being safe.
          but i cant understand why more keep coming

            Did you use any compost in the soil when planting. Look like thrips. although it's been a bit cool for them to come out recently.
            Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

            Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?
