  • You never know-

-when something may come in handy. I had some tubing & adjustable connectors saved from my aquarium days as I hate to throw things away. Anyhoos, today was that handy day when I found myself a plastic box, drilled a hole in the side near the bottom, fastened the tubing & connectors & Bob's yer uncle, cheap irrigation for my toms. The beauty is that I can adjust each connector so that it drips just as I want it to.
Pic 1 = Box (obvious really..........)
    Pic 2 = Setup
Pic 3 = Adjustable connectors............easy to get hold off from aquarium shops.

There is no reason for this thread except to throw ideas into the hat.

Glad you found a use for it but in this house the phrase "ITwill come in handy" is just an excuse to hoard tons of useless flaming junk. Drives me nuts!

Same scenario I suppose but I always leave the hose connected for refill of my pond on 'drip mode.' This compensates for evaporation.

Nice set up BM, drip irrigation as you know, is by far the best for pots or growbags.

You are a man of my own heart, I saved an old BBQ the other month, and now it is a handy potting bench. I turned the lid upside down filled it with compost, and use the platform eitherside to put the pots on.

Now what do I do with all the other junk that I have stored in the shed?

Well done BM, now that's what I call recycling. Why is that women don't seem to be able to grasp the concept of keeping something cos you never know when you might need it.

Put 'em in the garden, and grow stuff over/up 'em. He'll soon decide if he needs 'em!
