Hello!
I have been given some calendula plants which I am hoping to plant out this weekend. I just thought I'd check with you guys first though as I've heard they are good companion plants for toms and beans and as I am growing both (Roma toms & Runner beans) I was quite interested in this.
My query is, how close does something have to be to be 'companion planted'?
I was going to grow both in seperate tubs, would the plant therefore have to be in the tub itself to have any effect or will just having them in my (relatively small) garden have some effect? If I put them in the nearest plant border they would be about 10ft away from both containers.
Thanks
