  • Is it too late...

....for another sowing of broad beans (aquadulce). I am wondering if I can squeeze in another lot, or two. The first lot are doing really well but am thinking I didnt sow enough in total to get a good haul to freeze.
    Thanks!!

seeing how the weather & seasons seem to mixed up
it seems a lot of peeps are experiencing slow growth on account of the cold,
so would be worth a try, chit them first so you know which are goers, put them in trays or modules, and plant out when the weather is better, but harden them of first,

I planted some more in loo rolls 2 weeks ago and they are just sprouting up now.

I planted more around 7 weeks ago and these are in the garden but only around 4 inches high still - I am putting this down to the weather though as I have put buckets over the top overnight with the frosts - also I am growing The sutton so I don't think they grow too high anyway - it's my first time growing broad beans.

The trouble with late-sown broadies is they are martyrs to blackfly. And chocolate spot. Have a go though
